Luckily I did not want the job but I did want the test experience, which I have now added to the list of sample programs that I can quickly write.

Today's was one over the phone with someone sitting in a horribly echoy room. Got the old 'describe yourself in 3 words question' I stick with the reply 'resourceful, vengeful, violent'. Still it was experience and I have bagged the questions and added them to my interview revision doc for when I get an interview I want after the gig here finishes.
    Better than you

normally shuts that stupid line of questioning though

not had many gigs for a while mind so maybe there is a problem with it!

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to EternalOptimist again.

These three hobbies are a regular feature in my interviews Amazingly, in all these years, no one has ever recognised it !

One of my other favourites, especially if I don't want the gig, is the 'Worlds best c**t kicker-inner' (from Derek & Clive. Rarely gets a laugh at an interview

My hobby of sword and shield fighting is usually a popular talking point. We talked about it almost exclusively at one interview as the MD was a history nut and the technical leader played WoW and wanted to know how different weapons and armour measured up.

Another interviewer asked about it and then mentioned a show he had seen which was one where I had fought at.

I got offered both of those (perm positions).

Once for a contract myself and the head programmer had a mutual friend who did the same shows. He offered me the gig but got over ruled by his boss :-(
