        snaw,

Mailman is probably a troll - it certainly behaves like one. It's not remotely interested in discussing it properly. It's only interest is in perpetuating pointless argument and wasting people's time.

        Let's see ...

        Mailman,

Others have repeatedly stated to you that new anti-terror legislation being used to extradite non terrorist crimes is quicker & more efficient than the previous extradition treaty, because no evidence against the accused is required inorder to extradite.

        You disagree by saying

It is you who so blatantly fails to understand the concept. No one particularly disputes a non terrorist crime was committed Mailman. You miss the point either deliberately or by folly (probably the former). The criticism is that the US under the new (1-sided) treaty does not require any evidence against the accused inorder to extradite the accused.

Bringing in sweeping powers under the label of emergency legislation to counter terrorism; and then arbitrarily applying that legislation to issues nothing to do with terrorism, is plain ugly, vicious and worrying for all of us as individuals.

You on the other hand would be perfectly happy to be extradited without a shred of evidence being produced against you.

The one of the other issues with this is that this treaty was signed without going through the House.

Why we could not have just used the new EU treaty is beyond me.

On a related note - why has that fella David Carruthers been arrested in the States? I read in the paper that his offence is 'committing an offence outside the USA which would be an offence if carried out in the USA'.

Surely that cannot be correct. Any thoughts amongst the highly intelligent on this board?

              Older and ...well, just older!!

I dont know about you , it gets hard to keep track these days, what with this never ending paperwork and appointments at these Ministries, mind you Im not complaining , its my fault really, theyre just doing their job and they cant be too careful these days, I should really try harder I know,

Aat any rate he wants a quick chat at the Ministry of Thingy, well I have to bring along my Passport, musnt forget that !

                Should just be a formality.
