        Maybe they weren't so socialist in those days. So the UK was shaking off ours, while France was heading in the opposite direction.

          Wasn't it Delors who bought in the amendment to the EU treaty covering workers rights, hours worked etc & Thatcher refused to sign saying "we'll have the jobs"
          How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think
