Without having to sub Wales. Scotland and the North, we could easily cope with our deprived areas.
Anyway, the deprived areas are where our servants live. Every rich place needs cheap labour.
As for the posh enclaves outside London, that's simply where the rich Londonoslavians have retired to.
    Hard Brexit now!

Yes that is another possibility. They'd still need passports though.
Although I have a radical idea: to become a Londonogradian, you'd have to pass an IQ test.

Sorry CUKKERS, that excludes most of you.

I completely agree. London funds most of the provinces, house prices keep rising, recessions are much shorter than the rest of the country.
It makes sense since London attracts the best, brightest and most hard-working people from around the world while outside you generally have thick and lazy chavs (of all ethnicities) sitting round their plasmas, drinking cider and moaning about the immigrants that fund their lifestyles.

        Independence for Londonograd/Londonistan/Londres/Londoslavia I say!
Without having to sub the rest of the UK we'd be exactly like a more exciting Singapore.
How much debt did the banking crisis land us with? Wasn't much wealth creation with that. I agree London should become independent from the rest of the UK as it's quite 'special', think of it as an open prison for chuntes.

That was because they lent too much money to you lot to buy houses you couldn't afford and then you refused to pay it back.

Exactly. Typical numpty Northerners. It's always everyone else's fault rather than their own.
              Entitlement mentality*, you see.

*e.g. have you ever heard a Liverpudlian whining? It just goes on and on about " me <phglem sound>rights" and goes higher and higher until only dogs can hear it.

Nice try but there haven't been that many mortgage defaults. Banks gambling at the taxpayer expense and getting bailed out isn't something to be lauded, best thing to do would be to keep it under your hat as it's quite embarrassing. But that's not the London way is it. Absolutely no shame.

That's because the banks have been kind to you and indulged your taste for lazing about playing with ferrets and drinking disgusting warm ale.

Anyway the people who fooked up London were that one-eyed numpty Scot and northeners we stupidly let in like that Sir Fred Flintstone or whatever he's called. Oh and Northern Rock which started it all. Fooking typical. The lesson is don't let in clueless Northeners and Scots.

My my, sassy is upset today at the prospect of a bankrupt City and a lifetime of inflation and tax/pension/savings raids to cover the cost of City bonuses.

Not really. I can get high paying employment in a choice of other countries if I wish.
Oh and this household is a recipient of City bonuses. HTH
