Having Saturday night off the diet. Not sure what to order to be delivered but it'll be a lot so breakfast is covered as well.

                First night off for weeks

Might need a coder for another client I was talking to yesterday, have a VB 5 /6 framework to start with.

                Basically a cut down version of the software this company uses to configure door entry cards;

                Linky

Should be a quick and easy project for somebody

I used Vb5/6 from 1997 through 2003. Not touched it since but it's such a piss easy language I'm sure I could be of service.

That said, I thing scragmesiter still practices the dark art so it may be worth pinging him a PM.

Left over carcass is always good for stock but chicken wings are better, slightly roasted, lots more gelatin. I can normally get at least 4-5 meals out of a chicken; roast dinner, chicken caesar/salad, chicken gratin and then lots of soup from the carcass.

Nothings beats a good old baked pasta or risotto, just did baked pasta with tomato sauce, feeds 6 for about €3.

I am wary of cheap chicken over here, its mass produced, anaemic and full of chemicals, probably the same as the stuff you get in the UK, though cloggers has a pretty bad reputation for battery farming.

So I though to cheer ourselves up, a little Saturday night treat. Dial out? Nah, expensive. Steak dinner? Steak alone is 10 quid for some non chewy cuts. Heading into takeaway prices before you even get to the veggie aisle.

                      So here it is.

1 chicken £4.50. Jointed, spatchcocked and halved. Marinading in Nandos Hot Peri Peri sauce, £2.

                      Adsa own brand coleslaw, 25p.

Uncle bens Mexican spicy rice, microwaveable packet, £1.54.

Frozen corn on the cobs £1.38.

£9.67 for a home cooked Nandos for 2!

Oh and two bottles of wine, £8 but hey.

And I'm boiling the chicken spine to make chicken stock, because that's how I roll

                      Food critics, flame away.

                      Pretentious moneybags, brag away.

Chicken £4.50? We get fresh pheasants for £2.50
