First night off for weeksOriginally posted by suityou01 View PostWell you've been working your socks off on plan b that's now plan a so you deserve it

Might need a coder for another client I was talking to yesterday, have a VB 5 /6 framework to start with.
Basically a cut down version of the software this company uses to configure door entry cards;
Linky
Should be a quick and easy project for somebody

I used Vb5/6 from 1997 through 2003. Not touched it since but it's such a piss easy language I'm sure I could be of service.Originally posted by Cliphead View PostFirst night off for weeks

Left over carcass is always good for stock but chicken wings are better, slightly roasted, lots more gelatin. I can normally get at least 4-5 meals out of a chicken; roast dinner, chicken caesar/salad, chicken gratin and then lots of soup from the carcass.Originally posted by doodab View PostI've always found boiling bones makes gelatin. I normally save the wings and a leg and boil that with the rest of the carcass and a carrot, onion, celery, pepper and bay leaves. Or seaweed, ginger & star anise if I fancy something more exotic. But you need a bit of meat.
Nothings beats a good old baked pasta or risotto, just did baked pasta with tomato sauce, feeds 6 for about €3.
I am wary of cheap chicken over here, its mass produced, anaemic and full of chemicals, probably the same as the stuff you get in the UK, though cloggers has a pretty bad reputation for battery farming.Comment

Chicken £4.50? We get fresh pheasants for £2.50Originally posted by suityou01 View PostYes things are tough at Suity towers. Epic handbrake fail on Suityou02s Touran which involved a complete strip down to carpet level of her car.
So I though to cheer ourselves up, a little Saturday night treat. Dial out? Nah, expensive. Steak dinner? Steak alone is 10 quid for some non chewy cuts. Heading into takeaway prices before you even get to the veggie aisle.
So here it is.
1 chicken £4.50. Jointed, spatchcocked and halved. Marinading in Nandos Hot Peri Peri sauce, £2.
Adsa own brand coleslaw, 25p.
Uncle bens Mexican spicy rice, microwaveable packet, £1.54.
Frozen corn on the cobs £1.38.
£9.67 for a home cooked Nandos for 2!
Oh and two bottles of wine, £8 but hey.
And I'm boiling the chicken spine to make chicken stock, because that's how I roll
Food critics, flame away.
Pretentious moneybags, brag away.
