It is pronounced and spelt as Bale (baal) locally…

I would not touch Mulhouse with a bargepole, its a bit like, I guess Birmingham the not so nice parts (been there once only)…

But on the whole most expats I know hardly ever go back once they arrive.

I mean for me having an average weekly commute time of 15 hours going into the big smoke now is done to about 2-2.5 hours.

Sometimes a better quality of life and experience outweighs increase in £s but if you can have both then RESULT!

My partner worked there and she and almost everyone in the office spoke either German or Swiss German and pronounced it as Bayzel!

BASEL, BALE, or BASLE (the first being the German, the others the French and Old French forms of the name), a canton in the N.W. of Switzerland.

Mind you I did say locally! Anyways those who arrive on the BA flight to the Euroairport will know what I mean

That's the thing about people with low IQs. They always show themselves up.
Basle is the French way, Basel is the German, usually people pronounce it Baal. As others have noted.

You really are a thick ignorant moron, its not just the way you come across.
              Hard Brexit now!
