Well then it's no more 'well done Wales', but 'jolly good show chaps'.And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014 -
Farrell- yep better than BiggarOriginally posted by Mich the Tester View PostRobshaw definitely. Haskell depending on form. Farrell's not the finished article but he'd be worth taking as he'll mature into it during the tour.
As for the rest of the backs, I don't really know what they're for so I shall refrain from commenting.
Tuilagi - Yes, prefer to Roberts (not a fan)
Both welsh wings - Ashton is awful.
Full back - Surely Halfpenny is a cert.Rhyddid i lofnod psychocandy!!!!Comment

Ashton's had a long run of poor form; at his best he's lethal, but it's taking a bit too long for us to see him at his best again (MTT in tactful mode).Originally posted by psychocandy View PostFarrell- yep better than Biggar

Totally agree with Pondie. 30 years watching rugby both Wales and Pontypridd. In some instances, the bad vibes between Pontypridd and Cardiff is worse than Wales/England LOL.Originally posted by Pondlife View PostI have to disagree with this. I have NEVER seen any trouble between Welsh & English fans after a game, regardless of result. This could be because I don't drink in Walkabout/Flares type places.
If anything any guys in English shirts still out on Sat night would most likely have had a pint bought for them amid some pisstaking.
Edit: This obviously only applies to Rugby and not football. It could get messy next season if Swansea and Cardiff are playing each other again.
NEVER seen any sort of trouble EVER (apart from odd nobhead). In fact, I'd say that Cardiff on a saturday night after the rugby is a friendlier place than on normal saturdays. Yes, there is a lot of pisstaking/banter but VERY RARELY does it get nasty.
Football different matter. Lots of people in South Wales not looking forward to next year. Fully expect pitched battles in Cardiff /Swansea city centre / Barry Island.... Completely different mentality.
Where u from anyway Pondie?Rhyddid i lofnod psychocandy!!!!Comment

Ever visit the House of Pain (sardis road) Mich?Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostDunno about Cardiff after internationals but I'll take your word for it; probably depends on which pub you visit, just as anywhere else in the world. I do know this; I played against Welsh clubs a number of times as a student and as a club player, and invariably the crowd were very hostile, the matches were hard and often dirty and involved a fair bit of bloodletting, but as soon as we got to the changing room we were presented with crates of beer and in the bar afterwards we all had a bloody good laugh together.
As a Ponty supporter, I used to enjoy that certain players hated playing there and outsiders used to think the supporters were animals!Rhyddid i lofnod psychocandy!!!!Comment

And of course, 99.99% of the population of Wales will know the result from Saturday. If England had won, how much of the country wouldn't know/care?Rhyddid i lofnod psychocandy!!!!Comment

Nope, missed that one; Played against the teams one division below like Aberavon and Tredegar. Hard places to visit.Originally posted by psychocandy View PostEver visit the House of Pain (sardis road) Mich? And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment

Which raises an interesting question; what were the rest of the Welsh doing on Saturday?Originally posted by psychocandy View PostAnd of course, 99.99% of the population of Wales will know the result from Saturday. And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument?
