Personally I think she is guilty as no-one goes into politics without the full backing and support of their partner in everything they do especially if they want to and get to a high position.

Well the judge practically said that. Not quite in those stark words, but not too far off..

stupidity in a jury is covered by the system. What has happened here is that cleverness is not

there was a documentary about this and there was a lad up for murder but one of the jurors bought a knife that was identical to the 'unique' murder weapon, from a shop just around the corner.
In the end, he educated the other 11, and without bothering the judge at all

          Wasn't that a film, 12 good men?

A Few Angry Men. 12 Good Men. What's the difference?

The point is, no one does a course in how this stuff works, no one gets to ask more than a few basic questions, its all assumed to be part of the received anglo-saxon-judao-christian-common-sense understanding.
Something that we used to call culture. You watch that film, 12 angry men, and you are supposed to understand why they were angry, then that understanding reinforces your agreement that the underlying culture is right. If you are still a bit uncertain, you ask the clerk or the foreman or even, god forbid, the judge.
I think the judge threw his bricks out because this wasnt enough.

What is a reasonable doubt ? 'Well. it's a doubt that is reasonable'

i think that's common sense. in our culture.
