The only German to miss a spot kick in 18 attempts in World Cup shoot-outs was Uli Stielike in 1982 against France.

They have missed one in the world cup (in four shoot-outs), but lost others. They lost the Euro 76 final in a shoot-out to the Czechs.

Another entry in the list of Tossers aren't you. I am not sore about losing. I am used to England losing, even when we have a collection of some of the greatest football talent in the World.
What I am sore about is the fact that this (and others) bunch of cheating scum get away with all sorts time and time again. It is a sad indictment of the beautiful game that so many people say "it's part of the game" when what they should be saying is "get rid of the cheating".
There is less and less good honest football on display and more and more cheating. The World Cup (and other tournaments) are rapidly turning into a contest of who can get away with most cheating and that is what annoys me.

Looking back on some of the dreadfully boring defensive matches in the World Cup a day may come when football matches have dispensed with the two hours of play and all matches are decided purely on penalties.

A dejected group of 20 WAGs including Carly, Coleen McLoughlin, Becks' sister Joanne, and Lisa Roughead were involved in the ugly scenes as they left the Gelsenkirchen stadium.


A group of England fans taunted the party with shouts of, "You are s*** and you know your are" as they walked through a security cordon and along a red carpet outside the ground.


Joanne Beckham, 23, dressed in a red England shirt with with "J Beckham 23" on the back, gave a one-fingered salute. One man with the girls became involved in an angry exchange and told the fans to leave the WAGs alone.


An onlooker said: "The WAGs were devastated and making for the exit when a group of Portugese VIPs started to cat call and hiss. Then a group of about 10 England fans shouted abuse. It was ugly and ended a miserable night.

I only start with the insults when it becomes obvious that the tosser at the other end is not interested in discussion. Anti English blinkers per chance? So you didnt see Ronaldo head but Rooney? It was shown plenty of times! You didnt see both Porties hack at Rooney in the fateful tackle? They kicked him (no attempt at the ball) at least 5 times between them. He was finally getting away and was pulled back by the guy on the floor.
You may be right, he may have stamped on him and I am English so may be biassed, but I watched that and Rooney seemed to be pushing forward to get to the ball, he didn't even glance behind him to place a kick at the guys knackers let alone anywhere else he was just chasing the ball.
My opinion is that he knew he would hit something so pushed harder than needed, but he could not have avoided standing on the guy on the ground.
I did not see Rooney stamp on the guys knackers, I saw an accident, a footballing incident. I suspect there was some deliberation involved, but from the evidence I have watched I could not say for sure.

Once again, I am not sore about losing, I dont think we have showed any where near the skill or spirit required to win a world cup but I do feel I have as much right to voice my opinion on the subject as you.

Rooney is just a pig in a semi-human body. Could you imagine him performing a role that required intelligence?
Anyone can kick a ball around, but it takes somes thought on when to kick an opponents nuts in.
