Llyods is now government owed and the national debt has to be repaid somehow.

Edit - Just emailed the SME on the LBG FPS system to see what the problem is - he's on holiday until the 27th - I wouldn't expect any quick resolution for this, they may have to dispatch a helicopter and pick him up from the Alps!
Internal confirmation from where ? It's not on Interchange....

Trying to send a payment but bouncing back today - took a whilst to work out why.

You would have thought out of courtesy they could put a message on their homepage straight away

          Is there any update?

The only other code in use starts 87 which are the old Scottish Branches of TSB

I had three payments to various Lloyds account all bounce back today, guess its gonna sit in my business account not accuring interest for an extra day

Lloyds Banking Group Faster Payment Issue

              Message dated: Monday 21st January 2013, 16:00

We have been advised that, due to a technical problem overnight, at Lloyds no Faster Payments are being sent or received by banks in the Lloyds Banking Group (Lloyds, Halifax and Bank Of Scotland) at this time.

Any standing orders or other faster payments expected from a Lloyds Group customer today will not have been received.

Immediate Faster Payments that are sent to Lloyds Banking Group today and rejected will not be debited to your account. Any Standing Orders or Diarised Bill Payments due for payment today may be re-credited to customer accounts as a returned payment.

Customers are advised that they should not re-submit until advised otherwise and, where possible, avoid sending Faster Payments to any Lloyds Banking Group sort codes until further notice.

We and all other banks are working with Lloyds to address the situation, however, no timescales have been provided by Lloyds for the resolution of this issue.

We will update you as soon as we have any further information.

Faster Payments to and from other Banks and other RBS Group customers are not affected and continue to operate as normal. We are working with Lloyds in order that our customers do not incur any costs as a result of this issue.

NatWest will be fine - just LBG - so it's not a scheme problem.

Oh dear, with the SME off on holiday, that leaves all the message broker expertise with Wipro...ouch!

Well, all my (lloyds and hbos) bank accounts were opened at Scottish branches, so that makes sense.
