On this note: I listened to this radio debate a little while ago about women who earn more than men. One of the guys there was saying that his penis would "literally" (lol - mental image) drop off, if his partner earned more than him. He got a lot of agreement. With that sort of attitude so common, I'm not surprised that many couples feel that the stay-at-home mum and sole-earner dad is the only feasible arrangement.

And you don't have stepchildren. So just why you're think you're any more knowledgeable on this is really quite puzzling.

I'm most interested in those people here who've stated that they have both.

Why did you have to ad 'just so happens', as though we go around picking our partners based on their inability to earn loads of dosh so they have to be stay at home mums.

My wife chose to be a stay at home mother. She made that choice. You're suggesting it's the weak way out, to choose a traditional path, and that yuo admire others who have chosen less than traditional ways to parent. Have you not thought to admire people who have made their own choice, not ones that suit your current MO

Trust me on this. Everything you think about life, every single little thing you have thought about, political, moral, everything will change. Dress that up however you like, but it will. Just be prepared for it. As you will never be able to understand what happens to you once you give birth.

How much of an insult is it to be compared to Gentile (I joined shortly before she was banned I believe, no idea who is is/what she's like)? Or should I be proud?

I don't do .Net. It's all Perl and Python in my little niche, but I don't even do a whole lot of that.

Lockhouse. All I have stated, with you, is that you do not have your own children, so you cannot possibly comment about having them. There's nothing illogical, or incorrect about that. My brother once said it about me, and in time I have come to understand he was right on the money.
