I passed my test , then didnt drive for 15 years.
    didnt have the need.

so when I got behind the wheel, I was legal, but more dangerous than a boy racer or a twokker

took me a year to get up to speed. if you see what i mean

Re: Did you pass your driving test...

Passed first time 2 months after my 17th birthday. But 2 years later I took my bike test and failed.

Maybe I just didn't take it seriously enough as by then I'd been riding a motorbike everyday for 6 months on L plates, and had done thousands of miles in my mum's car. But it certainly didn't help that with my stupidly loud exhaust I couldn't hear the instructions the examiner was giving me over the crappy one way radio.

Bought a new exhaust and passed the second test a month later .
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

I passed first time - both my Car (2 weeks after 17th birthday) and Motorcycle tests.

My Nephew is just about to take his car test for the fifth time.

          +1

hit kerb on reverse around corner. So I straightened up and went again.

When I took my test they still asked you to do hand signals. I forgot to open my window, rapped my knuckles, and that was that.

Puma helicopter first time, and with a record low number of logged hours.

I also warned them about a couple of design flaws.

Hours till first solo is surely the key bragging factor there.

                  9 for me (A).
