Everything seems to be getting cheaper

Is it me, or are there more special deals and discounts etc recently? Seems odd this close to Christmas, unless they are simply trying to clear old stock.

Even booze seems to be reduced (half bottle of Courvoisier brandy down from £13 to £11, Taylors port down from £13 to £10 in Sainsburys for example).

Sounds good, but it could be an ominous sign of deflation.

Sounds like a standard pre-xmas drink discount to me. Mysupermarket website does a little graph thing of prices, and it shows that this time last year it was £10.29 then shot back upto £13.79 after Xmas. So going from £13.79 to £14.00 thats the inflation.
