Don't the papers, expecailly the Wail and the Express, always say it's going to be the coldest winter for 100 years. I suppose they'll be right one day, but do we take any notice of this tosh?

Experts are also concerned that road surfaces could crumble as water trickles into cracks and freezes, leaving councils with a major pothole repair bill.
