It's her husband's restaurant and they pooled their finances to keep it afloat.
But what is more worrying is that they go through the motions of being an example of bliar's vision of all his young voters becoming affluent from his policies, and yet when it goes tits up, they expect the state to bail them out.
You can follow this back all the way through to when kids are cotton-wooled at school, given rights, and the constant bombardment that the "state will take care of them" because it's fair and anyone that doesn't believe in the state is a greedy, selfish middle-class thief.Last edited by Contractor UK; 4 October 2006, 07:58.If you think my attitude stinks, you should smell my fingers.Comment

Is she paying IR35
If she is paying IR35 taxes on DEEMED EMPLOYMENT then there is deemed to be a employment occuring!
In this case - WHY IS SHE NOT ENTITLED TO THE SAME RIGHTS AND BENEFITS UNDER LAW AS ANY OTHER EMPLOYEE?
Why should Gordan Brown and the revenue have it BOTH WAYS?
Paying TAXES AS IF EMPLOYED, but with NO RIGHTS TO ANY OF WHAT SHE IS SUPPOSEDLY PAYING FOR?
You lot should be supporting her.Comment

I would support her IF I were a "disguised employee" (whatever the **** that is), but I'm a director of a successful IT consultancy, entrepreneur and business man.

I've just had a gander. FFS, it's not rocket science is it?
1 - I have no cash
2 - I have a BTL property
Er - MCFLY?
Bollox to her if she can't work it out herself. I hope she sells the BTL for a loss, then she'll have something to moan about...
Older and ...well, just older!!Comment

I know what you're getting at trampjuicerocks!
The legislation for IR35 was drawn up in such a way that someone can be an employee for tax purposes but not an employee for employment purposes.
Crazy but true.Comment

"So my next move is to open one of these accounts and set up a token repayment to my creditors."
I hope her creditors are reading that one.
Didn't realise she'd contributed a second episode. Certainly a good laugh. Mind you if you take what she says too seriously you run the risk of thinking such non PC thoughts as imagining she's just 'taking the p*ss'.Comment

Meh, she is probably so deep in debt that selling the property wont do a thing.Originally posted by ratewhoreI've just had a gander. FFS, it's not rocket science is it?

This is the best read ever
That's it love, think postiveOriginally posted by BintTo counter my feelings of tiredness and frustration I think positive.
In IT, being out of work for more than six months can render one's skills nearly obsolete.
Hocked up to the eye balls and going to spunk £300 on a course, I offer to save us all the cost of her adding this debt to society - I have two shotgun cartridges, I will supply the tools at no cost although contributions for petrol would be welcomed.Originally posted by BintSo I think about doing some kind of a refresher course whilst on maternity leave.
The course I have chosen gives me a professional qualification. It has three levels, and I booked myself on a two-day basic skills - part of level one - in July. It's only £300.
Why can't she download training vids off the internet like everyone else? Maybe it is because her research skills are not too hot:
Originally posted by BintThis gives me a positive boost, and I begin to feel excited and look forward to those two days.
But I am in for a shock. To do the second level course the cost is £2,500. I cannot afford it.
Off to read the rest of it, this is cracking me up

Shame there's not a 'Have your say' attached to this story, I'm sure about 90% of respondents would be fairly abusive towards her!Comment
