To be frank, he'll not get this. I chose contracting so I maintained the power to do what I want to do. Public sector contracts just changed, so I quit my contract, and start work for a non PS company in Dec; it's this flexibility that makes contracting that much better for me.
But havin said that, I am just a poor permie after all, only earning £5k a year, my wife, too, only earns £5k. Lucky for us though, we bought a company that now makes lots of profits we receive dividends on so we don't pay much tax at all, let alone NI.
I guess those high earners all paying 20-25% federal tax, and then state tax on top, well, them be lucky folk...Comment
