You're factually incorrect. Companies can legally apply for a right to discriminate.

The law is clumsy and part of life's challenges are to work round them. For instance if Harlequins advertise for a new fly half why should they not discrimnate against someone who is say 50 years old. What they then do is get old Dodgy to weed out the over 28s and throw out some non age related platitudes.

great for Dodgy but what a waste of time such legislation creates - and all to satisfy whinging old people who have f**ked up their own careers.

aye. discrimination is part of being alive isnt it ?
in fact it's what keeps us alive most of the time.

seperating things out. good from bad. healthy from unhealthy. safe from dangerous.

of course when the wishy washy , namby pamby, airy fairy, arty farty PC brigade get hold of the concept of discrimination, they filter out all except their peculiar notion of what constitutes a discriminatory act. Not THATS discrimination

Thats right, my local hair dresser has had the same problem. She wanted to employee a young girl to learn the trade like an apprentice. But you cant say young and you cant say girl. So she wastes everyones time.

The sort of people who come up with this bulltulip are really Marxist saboteurs, they have succeeded.

Is it any different to this

            It's discrimination.

Those of you who believe that a B&B owner should be able ti discriminate how they like, presumably it would be ok to:

Deny mixed race couples a bed for the night.
Not allow black guests to stay in the main building but in a separate annex instead.
Put up a huge sign saying No Jews.
The material prosperity of a nation is not an abiding possession; the deeds of its people are.

You're correct, no different. Yet you'd condemn one and condone the other?
