To be fair Monty had a great round and just managed to feck it up at the last hole with an unfortunate shot. The rugby boys got battered for 80 mins - for the second week running - they deserve a little more ridicule than a mere "Oh dear", surely?

Monty had no excuse. He hit a perfect tee shot on the 18th and hesitated with what was a relatively short iron. As for the rugby I am at a loss.

Anyway, I'm not so bothered about Monty. When he loses, he's a Jock. He's only entitled to be considered British when he wins a big tournament. Something Andy Murray is close to discovering...
