            I think that the original post was a wind up but am still following this thread as it is fun.

            When Gentile mentioned flirting I think that, rather than openly declare anything indecent or sexual, she meant something more like making small talk with this woman and seeing whether she seemed inclined to reply, smile, drink her coffee in the kitchen whilst chatting to you rather than replying and going back to her desk etc.

            Obviously you need to be sensible about what you read into this but if you, for example, ask how her weekend was when you see her in the kitchen making tea and she says "good thanks" over her shoulder and walks back to her desk then she probably is not that interested in you so leave her alone. If she stays to chat and asks you a couple of questions about your weekend then you could chat to her a bit more next time and see where things go.
