Quite. I can just imagine OzzieCock braying loudly in his local about his degree from the University of Woolongong, about what a great "engineer" he is, and mistaking the rictus grins around him as approval.

If you want to be good at something you have to go looking for people who are better at it than yourself, talk with them, listen to them, perhaps compete with them or train with them. Same goes for programming, testing, any sport or in fact any kind of skillful activity. The moment you start thinking you're the best, reality will hit you and leave you with egg all over your face. If you can't find someone who's better than you then you're not looking hard enough.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

Keep looking. Eventually you'll find out what SAS is used for high up the value chain.
If you're bright enough, of course.

I did have one colleague who I used to look down upon.
She used to wear low cut tops and she had massive bazongas. Cant remember if she was any good at her job. wasnt paying attention really

Have you heard of 'R' and C++? SAS is on its way out.

Sas guru or Ass guru? See what I've done there?

I've used R in the past. OK for smaller analyses.
I was programming in C and its derivatives while you were still in nappies, probably.
And if you think they can do what SAS does, you've just proved to me that you're a complete drongo with no clue, as I thought.
                      Thanks for confirming it.
