Isn't 'Excited Delerium' the phrase that police use for someone who is so off their tits they cannot feel pain and are actively hostile with large increases in strength and speed?

If so then someone in that state can really only be stopped by causing actual damage to them so they can no longer function properly (eg break their leg) but also it is not uncommon for someone to come out of this state and die due to massive strain it places on the heart.

I do agree that stamping on his head is it a little harsh.

If he was pepper sprayed in the cell and IF 4 coppers chased him down the street and IF they battered him with truncheons and IF they all stamped on him
then it's another police murder.

But IF he was off his face on a mixture of drink and drugs, and IF he was threatening cops with a hammer and IF he was resisting arrest then the use for force is justified

He may have been off his face, we will find out, but the cops were in his house. They should have just walked away, maybe done him for wasting police time for calling 999. Killing him was somewhat of an over-reaction.

The police have a duty of care to all people in the house not just the victim, what would happen if the police walked away and he ended up killing his dad?

I am not saying the police are innocent, I am just saying wait for all the facts to come out and then judge rather than just declaring the police murders, or do you just assume that all coppers are bent?
