Happened to me once.

Quite unnerving.

I once dreamt I had cheese scones, and the next day I went and bought some!! Spooky.

I had a dream he died last night.

I'd no reason to be thinking about him, he hasn't been on telly for years, I was just watching an old episode of Family Fortunes in my dream and found myself thinking I hadn't seen him for years and he'd probably died. I checked Wikipedia in my dream, and sure enough discovered he'd died. I even found myself wondering what nationality he was in the dream and checked that too: Australian, according to Dream Wikipedia. Turns out he's not Australian, but he did die there overnight.

Weird things, synchronicities.

I suppose it would be even more unusual if meaningful coincidences never happened.

Mine was strange.

Dreamed that my goldfish had died, but the tank was full of blood and it was all mangled.

Woke up and goldfish was dead. Oh, thinks I, coincidence.
Later that day we got news that my mother's closest friend had been stabbed and died, although the actual murder had happened some weeks before. (She lived abroad, and it was pre-email days) Was a teenager at the time, but still makes me cold to think about it. I'm around 80% sure it's coincidence, but would be open to evidence that these things are premonitions.

I'm sure most of us have been in the situation when you think about someone and then they call. Weird indeed.
