    Too many people who put their own interests before the collective, or believe that one person won't make any difference. Like those petrol boycotts a few years back - if everyone had boycotted the big brands on the right day it really would have been noticed.

      I fail to see how a one day boycott would have any effect, people would either buy their petrol the day before or get it the day after. Either way, unless they didn't drive (unlikely) they still need to get their petrol

        The idea (IIRC) was that you'd boycott Shell, BP and Texaco - the brands that influence the prices - and buy from the little guys.
