You have no equations to run. There are no numbers. All you have is hand waving and bluster. You are no different than the megaphone wielding loons you see preaching on street corners.Originally posted by Robinho View PostSo would you like to point out where i am wrong then? While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. Mathematical models in the social sciences have very poor predictive power unlike, say, in Physics.
I would have thought that was obvious to most educated people.*

*Edit. I take that back. Sadly there are many educated people who believe the opposite.

No i have an understanding of market dynamics. I don't claim there to be an exact mathematical equation. But there is a reason the shop went out of business, and essentially it is because it has become an inefficient way of buying food.Originally posted by doodab View PostYou have no equations to run. But you said you could run the equations. Now you're saying there aren't any. How can you say you understand market dynamics? You have nothing more than a handwaving argument about how they might work and zero evidence to back it up.Originally posted by Robinho View PostNo i have an understanding of market dynamics. Again, I never claimed there was an exact equation. There are general trends though and i am applying them here. Of course each instance will have its own peculiarities but on a marco level i am not stating anything controversial.Originally posted by sasguru View PostEconomics is not a hard science.
