Raised it with the dev lead and he said there are no desks. Also had a one page hand scrawled spec to work from.
New contracts not working out is a common theme with you.

Have you ever considered the possibility that you are, actually, a total c**t and no one likes you ?

Talk to HR, that is no way for a company to treat a disguised permie caught by IR35.
          Keeping calm. Keeping invoicing.

Possibility? I don't buy it though, it takes a few weeks for people to work that out. I can keep my nice guy mask for a week or two.

Almost feel like +ve repping you for that. But I won't.

You don't manage to keep the nice guy mask on your sockies for more than a day or two.

                Normal for most places IMHO.

Never ceases to amaze me how much clients waste cos they cant be arsed to get a desk/ login/ access sorted in advance.

It does do your head in a bit mind but give it chance, they're all like it. No reflection on how the contract will turn out once everythings up and running.

I even did a one day job once. Turned up, contact off sick, no-one knew what needed doing. Sat there till 1pm. Eventually, they gave me a rough idea of what they wanted, did my best. Cheeky twats then tried not to pay cos I didnt do the job completely. Long story but I took agency to court and won in the end.

Bit like paying a plumber a days rate to come and fit your new shower, then making him sit in his van half the day while you decide what you want doing.
                Rhyddid i lofnod psychocandy!!!!

**** me, I did a contract where I was 30km away from the rest of the team, sitting in a cellar by myself with a crappy old T20 Thinkpad with the occasional visit from the other inhabitant of the cellar who was the local nutter support guy until I got the 3 mumbling Bobs sitting opposite me for a few weeks who got kicked out as they were crap...

I did a week in Vienna once where it was just me and the machine room and I couldn't get out once the door was shut and there was no phone...

I worked down near Stuttgart once where I had a decent laptop, access to everything, right next to the canteen, a huge office but **** all work until they offered me a project for the Pakistani airforce right on the border with Afghanistan just before it all kicked off...

I worked in Madrid and no ****er spoke English or German except for the boss and he was hardly ever there...

I had to work in Kennesaw County where by law you have to have a gun...

You've got it ******' easy mate...
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

It's probably the body odour that hits them in the first five seconds that has resulted in them shunting you into the corner.
