Oh yes, and there has been since 1988. Why do you think that eejit that posted crap about Muamba having a heart attack on Twitter ended up in jail?, and some other muppet just got arrested for posting crap about Tom Daley's dad's death in relation to his performance in the Olympics? It's not just wannabe rioters that get into trouble these days by gobbing off on the internet. Idiots, the lot of them.

Karate. The Association started off as a variant on the Shotokan style when I first did it as a pimply youth (24 years ago now ). But it's evolved to include MMA-influenced and street fighting stuff such as floor work that you don't find in traditional karate now too.

          Hope you enjoy the Olympics.

You know I've waded through four pages of this thread title "Bob News", and there's nothing about the retirement of our great British actor Boboskins, due to the onset of an unfortunate condition named parkinsons disease.

Yes, we are. Everyone else (Project managers, business analysts, and the like) are just there to sit around all day and talk bollocks whilst dunking biscuits in their cuppa.

Sounds more like BJJ, no traditional Shotokan instructor would have ground work in the class.

It did start out as a traditional Shotokan style, but as I say it's evolved to include other things now. All of the katas are still the same as Shotokan (the Heians, Bassai Dai and Sho, Kanku Dai, Ji'in etc), but many of the more pratical techniques have been influenced by MMA and other styles now, including the ground work.

Thats ok then. It describes the whole of the UK really, just more so I would expect.
