Really enjoyed it, highlights for me were Bond and Bean.

Women who sang abide with me was a tad nasal, WTF were the arctic monkeys doing there and Macca was awful, couldn't they have got someone who could still sing?

    Not a bad evening!

wss. Although he did improve a little from a poor start, where something appeared to go wrong.

It was so good, I almost feel like visiting that mythical place.

I also expected it to turn out like most bottomless pits filled with money...a cock-up from the start.

          Loads of people re-tweeted it.

There are certain things you don't do on twitter as a politician and what he did was one of them.

We should encourage our politicians to tell the truth, which he did. Part of the reason we are in the state we are in, is the "you cant say that" brigade. I like this comment from the torygraph

The difficulty for the Kommentariat and Chattering Classes is that Burley is quite correct.

You know we are finished as a Power when the main ceremony at the Olympics, the
best advertisement we could make of ourselves and our magnificent past (which
should, in any half-ambitious Britain, map the path to the future) focusses for
20 minutes on the NHS, CND and the other leftie, multi-culti tosh that has
                emasculated the country.

History will have a chapter as follows: Great Britain 1945 to 1995 Great Power to
Banana Republic - The only country in recorded history utterly to have
destroyed itself from within in two generations.

                Tragic.
                and

Actually he is right, the household represented had a white woman, a black husband and half caste kids - it was ridiculous having a tiny minority case represent the UK.

Perhaps they would have been better having an all white household or a street with half white families, and some muslim, indian and black households.
Either way the mixed race family was cringeworthy PC rubbish.
I watched about 5 mins, mostly cus of this thread. This was the point I turned it off in disgust, felt like an episode of Dr Who.

I don't think Daleks were very well represented at all
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

I thought the countryside bit was OK for starters and then the industrial revolution was really great with the towers, then it was down hill.

Bean and bond were cringeworthy, artic monkeys, why? The musical medley was dire and the 'family' was contrived lefty drivel.

The queen looked as bored as feck and so was I.

                    Piles of Chunder indeed.

Still, going by this German official's 'salute' to the German national team, it seems there were some right wing elements in the mix there too.

Yes, I saw her. She was really beautiful. I think it was Leryn Franco:
