Decided to watch it and was impressed:
- the Queen / Bond scene was good
- Rowan Atkinson was funny
- the Hobbits playing football was surreal
- Abide With Me was pretty crap. They would have been better with a Welsh male choir
- Tim Berners-Lee was actually tweeting while sitting at that desk, I got the tweet
- Paul McCartney was also tweeting. Got a good picture of him backstage just before he went on
- a Tory MP tweeted (seems to be deleted now) but bashed on about multi-cultural, leftist love-in. Hopefully the press will pick up on that
- there were some scuffles and arrests outside. A pro-cyclist group riding in a restricted area when told not to. ******* idiots, no wonder people have no respect for them
- the German commentator was waffling on to his co-presenters when the camera panned back to the athletes coming in and Paraguay had a very attractive woman at the front and all you heard was 'whoah'
Very enjoyable“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment

According to the German commentator they were taking the piss out of the British weatherOriginally posted by Sysman View PostOdd you mention that. I saw two young lasses wearing wellies on the train last week.
Or perhaps they've heard about British summers and came prepared ?“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment
