Factually incorrect as it goes. Celtic could quite easily field a team entirely made of Scots these days..............and still get further in Europe than most English Prem Clubs. For example :-

Wilson McManus Caldwell Wallace

Pearson Maloney Lawson Telfer

Beattie Miller

and that would still leave Telfer, Virgo, Mulgrew and McGlinchey available too. Unlucky!

That'd be the same second rate Porto that won the CL the following year then? And to get to that UEFA final we played both Blackburn and Liverpool, not losing a single game to either incidentally. Mind you, as you say, second rate teams and all that. Do you actually know the first THING about football? If you did you would not bandy around the now defunct Cup Winners Cup. That was a piece of cake to win in relative terms, even Spurs and Rangers both won it ffs! Now, if you want to continue with this, look round and see if there are any adults about to help you. Your special needs are becoming too prevalent!

And im sure you wouldn't begrudge saying the class of the english league in the 80's was indeed a great league with the best teams in Europe actually being English!
