I thought it particularly quiet this morning. Though I cycled in the olympic lanes anyway.

Biked in as usual, less cars than usual, route home overshoots an olympic lane, barriers all over the place, expecting a bit more traffic this eve.

What about wheelchairs? If there is nothing in writing about them, then everyone should get one and use them in those lanes...
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

From the Mail: Gridlocked Games: London's motorists caught in huge jams as all Olympic lanes come into force... and it's not much better on the Tube

From the Telegraph: No traffic gridlock for first day of Olympic 'zil lanes'

You just have to ignore most of the media nowadays, they're all full of bollux.

Cycling in from Kingston the roads have been quieter than usual for the last couple of days, noticably so, untill you hit central London. Westminster is even more congested than usual and Paliament Square is worse.

Signs for the Olympic Lanes were all saying they were open to all traffic this morning. Lots of closed off junctions and restritions in place but they did actually seem to be helping with the traffic flow and everything was moving ok, but that could just be due to there being fewer cars around.

Working from home for two weeks from Friday anyway

I had to pay a £1 extra for parking and walk a further 300 yards this morning as they closed some roads in Cardiff.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

GB women open the Olympic Games with their first football match tonight.

Though at £20 a ticket they are having a laugh.
