Eddie Merckx is missing too, but I'm over it.

Ah, of course, I disagree with you, so I am a Contador fan boy. Great intellectual insight there.

But I am not, I am a very keen road cyclist, and have no allegience to anyone. Also, given I am a 48 yo man, I kind of dropped that kind of infatuation thing at school.

Contador is the class of the field. That's all my point is. Wiggins is a brave rider, a good one, and a good man. However, he's no match for contador.

Next year, let's see Wiggins keep with him. Sagan looks a find, there's a few other young riders coming through too. Froome looks mighty good for next year. I still believe he could win this years. But no, I shouldn't say that, as that would make me a fan boi of Froome too...

His win will be devalued on a number of points, of which I have mentioned a few, not just Contador.

And neither is anyone else. More than a few people put that down to cheating.

Nothing devalues a tour win more than a drugs bust.

Wiggo seems have told Froome to have a go for the win. Wiggins going hard on the front now. Big ask to catch Valverde though.

          Edit: they've done Nibali.

I hope Froome gets a few wins under his belt and goes for it next year. I genuinely think this is Wiggos last chance.

Good for them doing Nibali. Although the chance of him popping ina 4 min lead wasn't much.

I'd like to know why Froome wasn't allowed to go for the win there, Wiggo seemed to tell him to go for it at one point but there was a lot of chat afterwards.

I reckon Froome will get his shot at the Vuelta this year and if he does he's probably the favourite.

How can he be the class of the field when he's not even in it? You seem to be obsessed with the idea that the result of this years tour is invalid because Contador isn't in it, that sounds pretty fan boyish to me. Just because he has a contract till 2015 doesnt mean he is going to win it next year, just that he has a good agent.

I said myself that Froome is one to watch, but he won't win it this year as he is under orders. I even went so far as to say he was better than Wiggins in the mountains (he is).

So there we have it from the horses mouth, Wiggo was getting a bit emotional. He also seems quite insistent that Froome will have his day and he'll be there to help.
