      Gambling winnings are a bit different than sporting prize money though

      I think the tax/duty is on the stake (12p for a lottery ticket according to wikipedia) although they abolished betting tax didn't they?

          I think he has to pay income tax on his global earnings (including sponsorship) pro rata on the amount of days he is in the UK - a reason why many players tend to get the first plane out as soon as they are knocked out.

            Prince William decided to pass entering the Royal Box in favour of surfing amongst the peasants in Cornwall. Allegedly (who knows when the pictures were actually taken). Can't really fault him. Send the misses to watch the tennis and do something fun instead.
