I am not too concerned about that, if I was being honest. The kids are bright, and we'll not eschew educating them; any trip we did undertake, would be educational anyway. We're already discussing mornings working, afteroons playing. I'd also have to keep the skill set up to date too. On that side, I'd genuinely not worry. We feel we educate them more at home anyway, than they do at school.
I would still be worried about taking the kids out of school for 12 months. At the ages of 9 and 6/7 they will miss a lot and it will be hard for them to catch up.

Now come on, you expect someone to be offended by being called "gay", this is 2012 and we're not in a school playground.
I didn't say it was meant to offend, I guess it's more important to understand you thought it would be intended as an insult; I was merely pointing out that you following me about is slightly gay, which it is, and that I am not that way inclined. I am trying to save you wasting your time trying to turn me, thats all spod.
I think it is also slightly telling that you believe I could upset you by calling you catholic, I mean, the irony:

We have thought about this for a long time, and I genuinely think they'd benefit from the year out, educationally, as well as personally. We've been in touch with the local education department, and they've agreed to support us with a curriculum. You also have to remember, my kids are in classes of 22, and the one to one support they'd get being with us, would actually enhance the education.
But having said that, I appreciate what you're saying.
