The HMRC, via the Government are slowly but surely blurring the line between avoidance and evasion and using the "hard of thinking doodab " in today's society as a tool in their machinations.

They will get a better pension than you, despite the fact that you pay for a private pension? That sounds like a data point in favour of the argument that private citizens are no better at spending money wisely than the government are to me. You woz robbed mate.

Edit: And no they wouldn't be the same ones. They would be the ones whose salaries are covered two or threefold by your taxes.

And why are you asking me exactly? Nothing I've said has expressed an opinion either legal or moral. It's simply my judgement that my interests are best served by paying my taxes and living in a society where everyone else does likewise, and my opinion that there is a certain minimum level of taxation and state funded economic activity below which a country becomes an undesirable place to live. This is more or less game theoretic, a point that seems to be lost on those such as DA who accuse me in perpetuity of being a lefty liberal apologist whatever, when in actual fact I'm simply a selfish **** who is looking out for my best interests.

Perhaps if I was paying Less in tax I would have a better pension fund as I would be spending my money more wisely than wasting it (under duress) by giving it to the feckless wasters in government.
