    That's an interesting one. I start my day with a grapefruit so not short of grapefruit peel.

    Just wondering if it would attract rats - you're not supposed to put any citrus on a compost heap as it attracts rats.

    Maybe the rats ate her slugs after they polished off the fruit peel?
