He's 65 now, I think that's too old to start afresh with a team he doesn't know and have a long term view.

    Just my opinion.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

I don't know Bolshie - look at LFC if you don't want to look at the questionable signings at the toon (especially his son, that really took the biscuit)

      20 million for downing? Really?
      35 for Carroll?

Both good players, but seriously they raise eyebrows after my experiences with KD.

On another note, bringing in Villa Boas might be a masterstroke , cos that kids going to have a massive chip on his shoulder to beat Chelsea if he gets a PL team - which can only be a good thing.

Last season Downing had the most assists and was playing really well. He hasn't adapted this season but hopefully next year he will come into his own

I really hope Martinez stays at Wigan. Liverpool fans can be very vicious and ungrateful. They are also deluded, would not be surprised if they demand a Mourinho or Pep Guardiola.

I got a load of abuse on Twitter today for suggesting such a thing - the fans are moaning because Dalglish didn't get enough time, but were quite happy to hound Hodgson out of the role so that Dalglish could get it.

As one of the biggest clubs in the world why shouldn't they?

Biggest in terms of debt or are you referring to a different measurement of size?

Debt ? How about second biggest in terms of trophies.

Man U have just posted a £71m loss due to the owners re-financing.
