A much older computer than that was discovered recently, 30,000 years old or more, and it's digital.
It was a long bone with regular row of small scratch marks along it, maybe to count sheep.Work in the public sector? Read the IR35 FAQ hereComment

There are lots of so called Ooparts. It it churlish to believe that we only started to produce complex machines/batteries/mechanisms/chemistry/physics/maths etc from the Renaissance and then industrial revolution. It's a very short period of time. In fact when you look at machinery it's really on in the last 200 years, with the last 50/60 years really accelerating. We've had a short period where on the whole mankind hasn't been trying to kill each other on a massive scale.
Any of the ancient civilizations within a short 200/300 year period could have made massive leaps in technology. It's only in our time that it's been so pervasive.
