In my humble opinion, based upon IM's I have had and other conversations

people picked up their activity because they thought MF had either gone, or had been put in his box by admin.
The old CUK spirit definately reared its welcome head, for a while.

but now it appears the tapeworm is back, sucking the life out of the host and whingeing about the lack of posts, blah blah blah.

Actually the opposite is true. When you're posting the board dies a death of abject dullness, and as it becomes duller you post more in a vain attempt to show your 'humour', which in turn kills the board further.
