Bench time is the primary reason for contracting!!!

You are sitting there as a fat company director being paid a salary for doing whatever you want! Client time is what brings in the cash but it doesn't 'alf get in the way (c:

There no inaccuracies in any of my posts. I quite clearly updated it last week. Do you use this glaring lack of intellect & analytical ability to argue over the size of a gnats chuff at work?

If I got benched, I would spend the first month completely away from IT, fooking about outside, waking up late, reading non IT books, clearing the pipes, and not in the pron way some are suggesting. I'd want to refresh for a while before I got back into it.

I am sorry MF, but your stories are up and down like a whores knickers mate. Just pointing it out, thats all.

          Carry on carrying on son.

You know that Jack & Jill Zoid. Did you ever find out how Jack got that brown paper on his head, last bit you read he was walking up a hill.

and it's too sodding wet to go play outside.

it's still better than being in my last contract though.... but they paid me lots of money sob sob.

                Good advice about the jobsites.
If you have no ties then you can take longer holidays, and apply for roles from there.
Rent/buy apartment in the sun, laptop and usb internet dongle, sorted. Stay until you have a role.
I have had phone interviews from some distant locations.
Always got the role, just explain up front about the backround noise (phone shop), or that you are on Skype.
This is what I have been doing for the last few years.

                  Ah, the ad hominem...

Keep telling the tall tales MF, and I'll keep reminding you son. That ok?

Strange why you're asking me; on the bench?

Prefer some kayaking and cycling myself, but each to their own spacecadet
