Re: re
I used to have a knackered old Vauxhall Astra. It really was a shed on wheels but people were always trying to nick it. The theives of Basingstoke, Sheffield and Camberley all coveted my lovely car. Thanks to my crooklock with the car in gear noone managed to take it, they did dislocate the gear cable a few times though>:Comment

Re: re
The gear stick slots into into it, it's more of a rod than a cable. They smash the stick forward to remove the crooklock, but mine was in gear so it had nowhere to go so it came outNo mean feat that - where exactly is this located to dislocate?Comment

Re: Nepalese
Many demobbed ghurkas are being hired as bus drivers in Wales. When they approach junctions I hope they remember their old ghurka motto: "It is better to die than to live a coward".The worst drivers are the Chinese as they will never let you in because if they do they lose face!Comment

Re: re
That's better - I certainly have never heard of gear shift cables on cars.
My son used to have an old Astra - one day he found some bugger had kicked in the door panel. Found out later that this is a favoured entry method - apparently if you gave them a good kick in the right place it would pop the locking mechanism open.Comment

Re: Volvo drivers
Arrg!
I find almost anyone in an estate car to be the worst drivers. If it is a Volvo estate, they are black-belt crap.Comment

Re: Volvo drivers
The big old boxy Volvos have only two speeds 40mph and 140mph - the ones in front of you do 40 right down the middle of the road.Comment

Re: Volvo drivers
Another nice trick with the Astra. Fuel lines are made of rubber, so scrotes can cut the hose and nick your petrolComment
