To be honest, the best deals are when you stay there for a brief hols and work out what the locals are drinking: table wine that is quite decent for about a coupla quid a bottle.
If you think my attitude stinks, you should smell my fingers.
For goodness sake! Has anyone done a booze cruise!!!!?!!!!
This site is a joke!
In 1986 my mate and I packed up our tents with the intention of doing a spot of camping in France, so we took the overnight bus from Glesgie to Laaaandan then the ferry from Dover to Calais where we pitched out tents in a local campsite intending to only spend a night there. We stopped by the tourist office to get info where there was a rather nice looking French burd who later on I bumped into in bar. Well the outcome was we spent the week in Calais thus not making it any deeper into French territory (well not the country anyway). My poor mate didn't seem to mind as he was just happy to get out of the country and drink Jupiler beer...

A decent cremant is worth bringing back if you want a nice sparkling wine at sub-champagne prices.
To be honest it's just not economically viable anymore - once the cost of traveling is included any savings are likely to be negligible, & the only savings may be on diesel if you fill up in France
Belgium / Luxemburg is the place for ciggies these days
