He volunteered for childline? That's eerie as I've thought about doing that before, after I finish all my education and have the time.

If he does still lurk, I would like to speak to him about that. Very commendable indeed!

Is that the Esther Rantzen thing?

Every time I think of her I think of that guy she used to have on her programme who turned out to be none other than Ivor Biggun. All these old ladies would go along to his concerts thinking he was that nice man off Thats Life to be regaled with songs like Winkers Song (Misprint). There was a right hoo hah and they all wrote to the Daily Mail & ISTR he got kicked off the show.

Im not sure if she has endorsed them.

Ive looked at other groups like Big Brothers. Ultimately, I didnt get in to too many problems as a kid, but things were far from easy and I was close to having some bad problems. It would be nice to guide a youngster in to not making the mistakes I did, or even just listen to them which at a confusing age is what many need, an objective listener who can empathise.

Well, yes. Very commendable. I was reading an article the other day detailing how hard it is to volunteer for these kinds of organisations these days because of all the red tape, CRB checks etc. & it's actually just putting people off from bothering at all.

I must be a bit squiffy, I've been staring at that smiley for ages now. Got into a lather.
