    Must say I was quite surprised, although in retrospect it isn't that unexpected.

    I heard at the time that he'd driven to South Wales and topped himself down a disused coal mine, with a few sticks of dynamite to bring the roof down on him so no one would ever find him. That seemed quite plausible, although I did wonder how anyone could have known about it.

      Nah, a far too courageous act of self-sacrifice. On Lucan's past history it just never would have happened.

      Self interest, now that's a different matter...
