True, we mustnt forget those facts. The question is, does it justify them charging us 100 quid a month ? Councils = Waste has become common parlance. They waste more than the worthy service they provide. When some organisations get money handed on a plate without having to work for that money they tend to waste as much as they can on themselves.Vote Corbyn ! Save this country ! -
That isn't the description of a slum, its a description of a typical rural village. Inner city slums get huge government subsidies.Maybe you should move out of a slum into somewhere normal people live?bloggoth

They also have much higher population density which means that they have more income, and it's relatively cheaper per person to empty bins and maintain roads and so on. Especially in wandsworth where most people live in tower blocks with communal bins.Originally posted by xoggoth View PostThat isn't the description of a slum, its a description of a typical rural village. It would certainly explain why you bugger off hope 5:30pm sharpish.Originally posted by sasguru View PostWandsworth Council has the lowest council tax in the country and the bins are collected every Monday without fail, and without question as to the amount, even if that is a Bank Holiday like Boxing day this year.A shining example of how to run a council.Comment

Reminds me of an occasion I was walking to work and an old lady came out and harangued me for leaving her bin in the wrong place. I said I'm not the dustmen and she said well, you look like one.bloggoth

You need to tidy yourself up a bit, or do you always walk around in a high-vis jacket?
