She seems very embarrassed about it so I reckon it is true. Either way I love hearing the stories.Originally posted by Notascooby View PostUnless there's photogrphic evidence it's not true.....oh wait 16 you say....damn!Comment

My son goes to boarding school and seems to enjoy it - if the lack of calls home is anything to go by. I think being with other blind kids helps as he had a horrible time at secondary schoolRule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

Same here. Did three years of it and had the time of my life. Then my parents came back from working overseas and I had to go back to living with them full-time.Originally posted by OwlHoot View PostI started boarding school when I was 7 and it never did me any harm.

I think there's a point here that's very specific to your son; I can imagine that being with other blind kids is quite important and good for him; perhaps they're not likely to bully him in the same way as they might in other schools.Originally posted by BoredBloke View PostMy son goes to boarding school and seems to enjoy it - if the lack of calls home is anything to go by. But I'd advise you to ask him to call more often and when he's at home, sit with him and take the time to find out as much as possible about his feelings and his experiences; hopefully you're right, and I'm not trying to doubt what you're saying, but best to be sure. I always told my parents I was fine, even though I wasn't; that's one thing that is very common among boarders. And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment
