My wife was a very hard working teacher before we had kids. You're attitude to teachers stinks of ignorance.

If you believe all teachers are lazy - go volunteer at a school for a day - then try and work out when the planning, marking, preparation for school trips, training, parents evenings, school plays, school governors meetings, SEN planning, music lessons, playground coverage, display preparations, policy reviews, clearing drug users needles from playgrounds, swimming lessons, etc, etc.

It's just colouring in, long coffee breaks, short hours, long holidays, massive pension and not having to put any effort into getting dressed each day.

Come the revolution primary school teachers and hairdressers will be first against the wall.

As Mr Donuts said above, diss teachers and there are a number of posters on here who get all offended plus high and mighty about how hard they work. An ex-girlfriend was a primary school teacher and she used to bemoan the same. For Primary school it's a step above working in a nursery. Secondary school is much more difficult.
