So you're genuinely that thick that you don't know the difference? And yet you wear your stupidity with apparent pride. You sound like a typical brainwashed atheist to me.

Firstly, a brigadier would probably head up the SAS. His direct boss would be Jacko Page - Jacko Page - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, who heads up all special forces.

Secondly, the fact that you have been told he is in the SAS - almost certainly means he isn't, because if he really was - there would be a cover story for everyone except his wife.

More likely - he's an IT contractor with a specialism in business analytics software
Hmm, well you may be right. But according to Wikipedia the head of the whole shebang used to be a brigadier but is now a major general. So perhaps the colonels heading each regiment were promoted to brigadiers at the same time.

D000hg's right nomadd it's not hard to remember. Christmas is the one where the magic star appeared in the sky and moved at a pace comparable to a slow caravan, until it was directly above a small outbuilding in a census town.

Easter's the one where Jesus is nailed to a cross until dead and then disappears from a cave blocked by a big stone 3 days later.

It's not that tricky.

And even more quality - from a typical religious zealot. Now there is a brainwashed sector with a Pride in irrational Stupidity.

BTW, Happy Christmas.

..And the Jesus bloke is the one with the small round spectacles, right? I think it's all coming together now - sorry, never really kept up with all the books in the series...

I would at this point go in to the numerous anomalies surrounding the Astro-physics of this "slow moving star" - but D000hg would just acuse me of being too "thick" to "really understand". Physics be damned! Like all atheists, I guess.

Is this how rationalists take the intellectual high ground?

You're wrong on all counts.
• I was raised an atheist
• I have a scientific background and degree in physics
• I was never brainwashed by anyone, I chose to investigate of my own volition
• I then made a reasoned decision
So my faith comes after substantial research into both the scientific and religious claims. Zealotry and brainwashing doesn't enter into the equation.

HTH.

I submitted a list of people I'd like to meet for my wife's approval. She immediately binned it and told me to clean the house and walked out the door. Unfortunately she came back the same night.
