I predict that the Euro will not be in its current form in 12 months time - Germany will never let the ECB print money. Best solution is to divide the Euro into 2 blocks - Southern led by France and Northern led by Germany. If that is done we can get the big bad news out of the way and can at least avoid the bigger doom scenario.Originally posted by Jeff Maginty View Post2012

1. LHC will find conclusive evidence of the existence of the Higgs Boson with a mass-energy of around 125 GeV, thus pretty much confirming the Standard Model.
2. The faster-than-light CERN neutrinos will turn out to be an artifact of experimental error or data handling. Causality will survive.
3. Towards the second half of the year, there will one or more 'warmest on record' months, globally, and the global mean temperature for the year as a whole will set a new warm record. My subconscious is annoying. It's got a mind of its own.Comment

4. All the climate complacents will dismiss six decades, each warmer that the last, as mere 'outliers'.Last edited by pjclarke; 30 December 2011, 16:14.My subconscious is annoying. It's got a mind of its own.Comment
