France is doing ok with preserving its country side, subsidies certainly help get supply of good - very smart strategically.

I don't know if only eastern european farm labourers who work there but they've achieved important objective that will keep them well fed.

Yes and we are subsidising them through the CAP. If we object then the French will veto anything that changes this. Just because it gives French peasants something to do does not mean we should have to pay for this.

1.You failed to get the point. Brits = British (not just English)
2.FYI you live in Great Britain (not Britain) Great Britain and Brittany in France (Known as lesser Brittan) were the same country. Great does not mean powerful in this context, it just means the larger of the two provinces. Many people in the South of England are of French Origin known as Normans.
