Maybe it's time England, to taste the future of tory land.

A private firm is taking over the running of a struggling NHS hospital

BBC News - Circle in deal to run Hinchingbrooke NHS hospital

You can tell the tories are back in power. To poor to pay? Tough. Bugger off to yon hospital 150 miles away.

Protests on the streets of London - Student protest provides first major test of new Met chief's 'total policing' -

Democracy is a farce, yes in Europe keep voting until you give the right answer is perhaps better than having your right to vote vetoed by the elite

    Riots in England

Is it just me or is the BBC news becoming less and less neutral?

I was amused at the thought that it was the markets that forced out Berlusconi rather than the electorate. Voters are only needed to continue the democratic charade. Mind you, in his case the markets might better decision makers.

If you had a brain you could work out that the excessive government borrowing which is at the heart of the problems has been entirely attributed to the socialist institutions of the EU and the member states. As ever what is needed are institutions and people who understand that in order to spend money on "public" projects that

          1. Wealth needs to be created and sustained in the first place and
          2. The public projects and public services need to work for the benefit of the people of the country and not for the benefit of Gordon brown and all the other ruling tossers who that have never done a proper days work in a proper job in their lives.

The article reads that the hospital is still free to all, but just administered privately. It could work...

Our local lib dem town council refused to take part in a borough wide 'tory' policy of privatising administration of our local leisure centres. All of them were previously loss making drains on council funds and we were all paying high tax rates for complacency and ineptitude.

A tory council run our borough and they sold off rights to run the leisure centres (which had always charged an entry fee anyway). Now all of them, except for ours, are back in the black and cost the taxpayer nothing. As we didn't take part in this (and various other opt outs) our council tax rates are the highest in the borough. Thanks lib dems.

No they don't. Our expats, to a man, love the socialist utopias they see in Europe even while said utopias unravel before their eyes because they are unsustainable.
The last government in Europe to come close to balancing the books was the Tory one of the late 90s.

I could agree with you, but then we would both be wrong!

                    WHS

It is quite scary what is happening. Markets alone shouldn't be able to pick our parties or leaders, although arguably they're just saying 'the current one is sh*te, get rid and replace'. Then the new leader or coalition party gets decided behind closed doo.. *cough*, err... democratically.

In two weeks time we could have a labour-lib dem-tory-BNP pact... if the markets so desired it
